Overview
Responsibilities
- Maintain, review, and update standard costs; ensure accurate valuation of raw materials, work-in-process, and finished goods; analyze manufacturing variances and identify costoptimization opportunities.
- Support monthly, quarterly, and annual close by preparing costrelated journal entries, reconciling inventory and manufacturing accounts, and ensuring compliance with US GAAP, IFRS, internal controls, and audit requirements.
- Lead budgeting and forecasting for the manufacturing segment; analyze performance vs. plan and provide margin and profitability insights for pricing, operations, and strategic decisions.
- Improve costaccounting processes and ERP data integrity; participate in system upgrades; collaborate with Operations, Supply Chain, Procurement, and Finance to resolve issues and align cost strategies.
- Communicate financial insights to nonfinance stakeholders and support special projects and adhoc analyses focused on cost, margin, and profitability improvement.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required; preferred area of study in Accounting, Finance, or Economics
- Master’s degree in Business or professional certifications (CPA, CMA) or Data Analytics credentials preferred.
- Minimum of 6 years of progressive accounting experience; experience in manufacturing or cost accounting preferred. Public accounting experience is a plus.
- Minimum 6 years of accounting experience; manufacturing or cost accounting experience preferred. Public accounting experience a plus.
- Solid working knowledge of US GAAP, IFRS, internal controls, and general accounting principles.
- Exposure to standard costing, variance analysis, and inventory accounting preferred.
- English and Spanish proficiency
- Experience using ERP systems required; SAP strongly preferred.
- Advanced Excel skills required (financial modeling, whatif/sensitivity analysis); proficient with Microsoft Office.
- Strong analytical and problemsolving skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities independently.
- High attention to detail with an understanding of business and operational impact.
- Demonstrated ownership, accountability, and ability to collaborate with crossfunctional partners.
