This role sits at the intersection of sales engineering, cybersecurity, and customer trust, supporting enterprise deals with deep technical security expertise. You will act as a key security advisor throughout the sales cycle, helping customers understand platform architecture, compliance posture, and data protection capabilities. Working closely with sales engineers, product, legal, and security teams, you will translate complex security concepts into clear, customer-ready responses and guidance. The position plays a critical role in accelerating deal velocity by addressing security concerns with precision and confidence. You will also contribute to scaling security knowledge across the organization through documentation and enablement initiatives. This is a highly collaborative and technical role in a fast-paced, cloud-driven environment.

Accountabilities

In this role, you will support enterprise sales efforts by acting as the security subject matter expert, ensuring customers receive accurate, timely, and trustworthy information about platform security and compliance. You will help shape how security is communicated externally while strengthening internal processes and knowledge sharing.

  • Support sales and field engineering teams with deep expertise in security architecture, compliance, and platform capabilities.
  • Respond to security questionnaires and customer due diligence requests using internal systems and documentation.
  • Lead customer-facing security discussions, including architecture reviews and compliance-related conversations.
  • Collaborate with legal, product, and application security teams to maintain and improve security response libraries and enablement materials.
  • Contribute to scaling security expertise across the organization through documentation, training, and internal knowledge sharing.
  • Partner with product and engineering teams to align security solutions with customer needs and expectations.
  • Stay current on evolving cybersecurity trends, cloud technologies, and regulatory frameworks.
Requirements

The ideal candidate brings a strong background in cybersecurity, technical pre-sales, or enterprise IT environments, with the ability to communicate complex security concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. You are comfortable working in fast-paced, customer-facing settings where security is a key decision factor.

  • 3+ years of experience in security, backend engineering, IT services, or similar technical roles in complex enterprise environments.
  • Strong understanding of cloud and hybrid architectures (AWS, Azure, GCP) and secure connectivity methods (VPN, SSH, PrivateLink, etc.).
  • Knowledge of cybersecurity frameworks and compliance standards such as SOC 2, ISO 27001, GDPR, PCI, HIPAA, or HITRUST.
  • Experience handling security questionnaires, trust centers, or compliance documentation workflows.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to influence security and technical stakeholders at all levels.
  • Ability to quickly learn and translate complex technical information into clear, customer-facing messaging.
  • Familiarity with tools and practices related to security automation and documentation is a plus.
  • Experience with scripting or programming (Python, SQL, Java) is a plus.
  • Interest in leveraging AI tools to improve productivity and scale workflows is highly valued.
Benefits
  • Competitive compensation package (base salary range approximately $192,270 – $240,337 USD, depending on experience and location)
  • Equity grants (RSUs) for eligible roles
  • 100% employer-paid medical insurance (varies by region)
  • Dental, vision, and mental health support programs
  • Generous paid time off, sick leave, and inclusive parental leave
  • Retirement savings plans (e.g., 401(k) with company support, where applicable)
