About This Position

Job Summary:The Production Scheduler/Planner plans and establishes production schedules to meet customer demands. Develops production schedules in accordance with sales forecast, plant and employee capacity, and new business opportunities.

Duties/Responsibilities:
  • Develop effective scheduling process to achieve production objectives.
  • Analyze and address production issues in a timely fashion.
  • Resolve manpower and material shortage problems in a timely manner.
  • Schedule production for MFG and assembly – for TX and VA
  • Work with Demand Planning to schedule future needs
  • Work with operations to schedule mold changes/color changes/pack changes
  • Supporting the eventual safety stock levels
  • Use ERP/MRP system to monitor qualities or raw materials needed and on hand
  • Support purchasing and MFG as needed with inventory levels
  • Collaborate with IT/IQMS to drive MRP/auto scheduling process is started and maintain the schedule daily
  • Collaborate with Technical/Production leadership in TX and VA to schedule equipment PM’s
  • Drive schedule attainment metric in MFG/ASSM in TX/VA
  • Communicate with Supervisors regarding the schedule
  • Ensure proper adherence to schedule
  • Ensure production reporting is done correctly
  • Monitor floor with Supervisors to ensure schedule is being followed.
  • Review production specifications and identify and report plant capacity constraints.
  • Develop weekly production status reports for Manager.
  • Required Skills/Abilities: Ability to work independentlyStrong organizational acumen and problem-solving abilityProficiency with standard scheduling software and productivity suitesExcellent communication and presentation skills
  • Well-versed in production procedures and ways to optimize them.
  • Advanced computer skills
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Education and Experience:Bachelor's degree in manufacturing, administration, or relevant field preferredMinimum of 5 years of related experience in a production environment, especially in production schedulingAdvance knowledge of ExcelExperience with ERP/MRP systems, IQMS a plus
