Position Overview

Banko Overhead Doors is hiring a motivated Garage Door Installer Apprentice to join our growing team. This is a hands-on role where you’ll learn professional garage door and opener installation alongside an experienced Lead Installer. No prior garage door experience required but a plus—just a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and willingness to learn.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with installing garage doors and openers in both new construction and residential homes.
  • Learn installation fundamentals and progress through structured apprenticeship training.
  • Follow all safety procedures on job sites; help maintain a clean, safe workspace.
  • Work as part of a two-person installation team.
  • Lift and handle materials (70 lbs independently; assist with 90+ lbs).
  • Provide excellent customer service to homeowners and builders.

    • Qualifications

  • High attention to detail.
  • Construction or mechanical experience preferred (not required).
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills.
  • Reliable and physically able to perform job duties.
  • Willing to learn and grow within the company.

    • Compensation & Benefits

  • Starting pay: $22/hr
  • Performance reviews at 6 months and 1 year

  • Valid driver’s license with a clean 3-year driving record
  • Ability to pass a background check
  • Ability to work a full-time schedule
  • Ability to lift 70 pounds
  • Ability to stand, bend down, work in outdoor conditions for extended periods of time
