Court Systems Support Specialist at STATE OF NEVADA-JUDICIAL BRANCH – Las Vegas, Nevada
About This Position
The Nevada Supreme Court is seeking a Court Systems Support Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will support Nevada’s court users by providing first-line technical and application assistance, troubleshooting system issues, and delivering excellent customer service. You will also assist in user training, system configuration, and data maintenance while supporting various ongoing technology and modernization projects.
This role can be based in either Carson City or Las Vegas. Following an initial training period, there may be an opportunity for a hybrid remote/in-office work schedule.
On occasion, this position may require working outside normal business hours.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide Tier 1 support for user requests, including troubleshooting, logging, and resolving basic issues.
- Escalate complex issues to Tier 2 support as needed.
- Manage user accounts: add, modify, and deactivate accounts; resolve username, password, and permissions issues.
- Perform data entry and updates, including adding new partners, configuring codes, and correcting data discrepancies.
- Assist with developing and maintaining user documentation and training materials.
- Deliver user training and guidance on business processes and court system functionality.
- Monitor system logs and configuration files to identify and resolve potential issues.
- Support remote users and geographically dispersed systems.
- Collaborate with IT staff for system maintenance, testing, and software updates.
- Contribute feedback to improve policies, procedures, and workflow efficiency.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Experience in customer service, help desk, or technical support environment.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, both verbal and written.
- Basic computer proficiency and an eagerness to learn new applications and court technologies.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to collaborate effectively in a team environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in a help desk environment, including software configuration, testing, and support.
- Prior experience in court, justice, or government technology environments.
- Familiarity with virtual collaboration tools such as Microsoft Teams.
If this position is approved for remote or hybrid work, the incumbent must be able to work effectively and collaborate with employees from a remote location, as needed. The individual must have expertise in virtual meeting platforms such as Microsoft Teams and be able to perform all duties through a reliable internet connection provided by the employee. The network connection must be sufficient to support all job functions, with a minimum download speed of 50–100 Mbps required. Higher speeds may be necessary if the connection is shared with other members of the household.
