This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Workday HR - Recruitment & Compensation Configuration Manager in India.
This role is focused on delivering end-to-end configuration and optimization of Workday HR solutions, with a strong emphasis on Payroll, Absence, Time Tracking, and related HR modules. You will play a key part in translating complex business requirements into scalable Workday configurations that support global HR operations. Acting as a subject matter expert, you will lead solution design, configuration, testing, and deployment activities while ensuring system stability and compliance. The position requires close collaboration with HR, Payroll, and IT stakeholders to ensure seamless integration and accurate data flows across systems. You will also contribute to continuous improvement by analyzing Workday releases and implementing new features that enhance system performance. This is a highly collaborative, global-facing role where precision, problem-solving, and deep Workday expertise directly impact HR process efficiency and employee experience.
- Configure, maintain, and optimize Workday Payroll, Absence, and Time Tracking modules to meet complex global business requirements.
- Lead full-cycle Workday solution delivery, including design, configuration, testing, deployment, and post-go-live support.
- Partner with HR, Payroll, and business stakeholders to translate requirements into scalable Workday solutions.
- Perform impact analysis for Workday biannual releases (R1 & R2) and implement relevant enhancements.
- Develop and execute comprehensive test plans, ensuring system accuracy, reliability, and quality assurance.
- Provide expert guidance on Workday best practices, system optimization, and process improvements.
- Collaborate with IT and cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration and data integrity across HR systems.
- Maintain detailed documentation of configurations, workflows, and processes for audit and compliance purposes.
- Participate in Agile sprint cycles and contribute to continuous delivery improvements.
- Evaluate and implement new Workday features to enhance system capabilities and user experience.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Software Engineering, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
- 5+ years of hands-on Workday configuration experience, particularly in Payroll, Absence, and Time Tracking.
- Workday certification in relevant modules (Payroll, Absence, Time Tracking) preferred.
- Strong experience in end-to-end Workday solution delivery in a global, multi-country environment.
- Solid understanding of Workday business processes, security frameworks, and HR system architecture.
- Experience with Workday tools such as Workday Studio, EIB, Report Writer, and Business Processes.
- Familiarity with SOX compliance, audit requirements, and enterprise governance standards.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a detail-oriented mindset.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to simplify complex concepts for diverse stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently while influencing cross-functional and global teams across time zones.
- Strong proficiency in MS Office tools (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Project).
