This role sits at the core of a data-driven insurance environment, where you will design and optimize scalable data systems that power analytics, operations, and product innovation. You will work with large and complex datasets across multiple platforms, building robust pipelines that ensure reliable, high-quality data availability. The position combines hands-on engineering with strategic collaboration, as you partner with architects, analysts, and business stakeholders to translate requirements into efficient technical solutions. You will play a key role in improving data governance, quality, and automation practices across the organization. Operating in a cloud-first, agile environment, you will contribute to the evolution of modern data infrastructure supporting critical insurance products and services. This is a high-impact role for a senior engineer who enjoys solving complex data challenges at scale.
- Design, build, test, and maintain scalable data pipelines across multiple platforms and data sources
- Collaborate with data architects, analysts, and stakeholders to define requirements for data workflows and automation
- Execute ETL and ELT processes aligned with enterprise data governance, security, and compliance standards
- Develop and implement data quality frameworks including validation, anomaly detection, and data cleansing
- Oversee and mentor junior data engineers, providing technical guidance and best practices
- Translate business needs into technical data solutions and ensure alignment with organizational objectives
- Optimize data storage, integration, and processing systems to support analytics and operational needs
- Maintain documentation of data pipelines, processes, and system architecture
- 5–7 years of experience in data engineering or a related field
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related discipline
- Strong experience building large-scale, complex data pipelines across diverse systems and data structures
- Proficiency in SQL and experience with relational databases such as SQL Server or Oracle
- Hands-on experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP and their data/ETL services
- Strong programming skills in Python, Spark, or similar languages
- Experience with data warehousing, transformation, cleansing, and data integration techniques
- Familiarity with Power BI or similar analytics tools
- Strong understanding of data security, governance, and compliance principles
- Excellent communication skills with ability to collaborate across technical and business teams
- Experience working in agile environments and multiple development methodologies
