The best summer fair and expo in Central Alberta is taking place July 15 – July 19, 2026, welcoming thousands of attendees for entertainment, exhibitions, and midway attractions, is back for another year!
Westerner Park takes pride in hosting Westerner Days and is seeking individuals who are responsible, energetic, and outgoing to help make it possible from July 14 – July 19, 2026!
Position Overview
The Guest Services Attendant supports the coordination of internal activations during Westerner Days, taking place July 15–19, 2026. Reporting to the Tickets Alberta Manager, this role is responsible for providing accurate information, assisting with wayfinding, and delivering a positive guest experience throughout the event.
As a key point of contact for guests, the Guest Services Attendant supports the daily operations of the information booth while helping ensure smooth event delivery and high-quality guest service across Westerner Park.
The role plays an important part in maintaining the overall quality of Westerner Days and supporting the successful delivery of events at Westerner Park.
Key Areas of Responsibility
Under the direction of the Tickets Alberta Manager, the Guest Services Attendant is responsible for the following:
- Provide directions, event details, and general assistance to guests to create a safe, fun and exciting environment throughout all fair operation days.
- Answer questions regarding schedules, attractions, amenities, and proactively engage with guests, especially during slower periods.
- Distribute brochures and promote the use of QR codes at Westerner Days for event information.
- Support lost and found procedures, including wristband assistance to patrons.
- Assist with tasks relating to booth setup, cleanliness, and organization during the allotted time of the event.
What You’ll Bring
- High school diploma or equivalent (completed or in progress) preferred.
- Post-secondary education in Event Planning, Business Management, or a related field (completed or in progress) is considered an asset.
- Previous customer service experience preferred.
- Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent customer service skills with a professional and positive attitude.
- Ability to work effectively in fast-paced, high-pressure environments.
- Strong multitasking, problem-solving, and adaptability skills.
- Ability to work independently while also contributing collaboratively within a team environment.
- Availability to work all required shifts during Westerner Days from July 14–19, 2026, including days, evenings, and extended hours as needed based on operational needs.
