Financial Controller in India at Jobgether

This role offers a high-impact opportunity for an experienced finance professional to take ownership of end-to-end financial management within a fast-paced, global telecommunications environment. You will oversee accounting operations, financial reporting, and internal controls while ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficiency across all finance processes. The position plays a key role in driving month-end close activities, audit coordination, and regulatory reporting. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional and global finance teams to ensure high-quality financial insights and governance. This is a hands-on leadership role where precision, accountability, and process excellence are essential. You will also contribute to optimizing financial systems and strengthening internal controls across the organization.

In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing financial operations, ensuring accurate reporting, and maintaining strong internal controls across all accounting functions. You will lead month-end close activities and act as a key point of contact for audits, compliance, and regulatory reporting.

• Supervise and coordinate all accounting operations including billing, accounts receivable/payable, general ledger, cost accounting, and revenue recognition.
• Lead the month-end and year-end close processes ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting.
• Ensure integrity of financial data and approve balance sheet reconciliations and financial controls.
• Prepare and deliver monthly financial reports to group finance and senior leadership.
• Lead external and internal audit processes as the primary liaison with auditors.
• Manage statutory reporting, tax filings, and compliance with local regulatory requirements.
• Optimize financial systems (NetSuite, Microsoft tools, etc.) to improve efficiency and control frameworks.
• Mentor and support finance team members, contributing to their development and performance.

The ideal candidate is a qualified finance professional with strong technical accounting expertise and experience in global financial reporting environments. You bring a detail-oriented mindset and the ability to operate under pressure in a structured, compliance-driven setting.

• Chartered Accountant (CA), ACCA, or equivalent professional accounting qualification.
• 5+ years of experience in accounting, finance, or financial controller roles.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS standards, including IFRS 15 and global reporting requirements.
• Experience working with ERP/accounting systems such as NetSuite, GP, or BPC.
• Solid understanding of financial processes, internal controls, and audit procedures.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail.
• Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
• Ability to manage deadlines and perform under pressure in fast-paced environments.
• Proven ability to improve financial processes and strengthen controls.
