This role is a senior, hands-on leadership opportunity at the intersection of data engineering, data architecture, and business intelligence. You will be responsible for designing and delivering end-to-end modern data platforms and enterprise BI solutions that power strategic decision-making. Working in a fast-paced, global delivery environment, you will lead initiatives across cloud data platforms, analytics engineering, and semantic modeling. The role requires strong technical depth in both backend data systems and frontend BI delivery, with a focus on scalability, performance, and governance. You will collaborate closely with business and technical stakeholders to translate complex requirements into robust, production-ready data solutions. This position offers the chance to shape modern data ecosystems using cutting-edge technologies like Snowflake, Azure Databricks, Microsoft Fabric, and Power BI.
- Lead the design and implementation of scalable data platforms (lakehouse and data warehouse architectures) using modern cloud technologies.
- Build and optimize high-performance data ingestion, transformation, and ELT pipelines for large-scale datasets.
- Design enterprise data models, including dimensional and semantic layers to support analytics and reporting.
- Develop and maintain Power BI datasets, dashboards, and semantic models aligned with enterprise standards.
- Ensure performance tuning across SQL workloads, data pipelines, and BI reporting layers.
- Define and enforce data warehousing standards, governance practices, lineage, and security frameworks.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to translate business requirements into scalable analytics solutions.
- Drive CI/CD and DevOps practices for data engineering and BI deployment workflows.
- Provide technical leadership across data engineering and BI workstreams, ensuring alignment and best practices.
- 10+ years of experience in Data Engineering, Data Warehousing, BI, or Analytics.
- Strong hands-on expertise with at least one cloud data platform: Microsoft Fabric, Azure Databricks, or Snowflake.
- Advanced SQL skills with experience in query optimization and handling large-scale datasets.
- Strong expertise in data modeling (dimensional modeling, normalization, semantic layer design).
- Solid experience designing and implementing enterprise data warehouses and lakehouse architectures.
- Extensive Power BI experience including DAX, Power Query, semantic models, and performance optimization.
- Familiarity with data orchestration tools such as Azure Data Factory or equivalent.
- Experience with Python or PySpark for data processing and transformation.
- Knowledge of CI/CD, DevOps practices, and data governance principles (including RLS/OLS).
- Strong communication skills with the ability to engage both technical teams and business stakeholders.
- Good to have: exposure to AI/GenAI concepts and/or Tableau.
