About the role

As a CNC Operator, you will be responsible for transforming conceptual ideas into precise visual representations and technical drawings using specialized computer-aided design (CAD) software. As the CNC Operator, you will be responsible for the setup, operation, and maintenance of CNC machines to produce precision parts and components according to engineering specifications. This role requires a detail-oriented individual with a strong technical background and the ability to work with various materials and complex machinery. You will play a pivotal role in supporting various projects ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and adherence to industry standards.

What you'll do

• Designing CAD Design and Drafting: Create detailed 2D or 3D models, designs, and technical drawings for specific projects, e.g., displays, exhibits, architectural structures, mechanical components, etc.
• Project Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including the creative team, and designers, to gather project requirements and collaborate on design concepts.
• Conceptualization Support: Assist in the early stages of projects by providing input and ideas to help shape the initial design concepts.
• Compliance with Standards: Ensure that all CAD drawings and models adhere to thēstudio North America and industry standards for quality, precision, and accuracy.
• Revision Management: Handle design revisions and updates based on feedback and changing project requirements.
• Material and Manufacturing Specifications: Collaborate with manufacturing and production teams to specify materials, dimensions, and manufacturing processes required for the fabrication of designed components.
• Quality Control: Conduct regular checks and reviews to verify the accuracy and completeness of CAD drawings, identifying and rectifying any errors or discrepancies.
• Time Management: Effectively manage project timelines and prioritize tasks to meet project deadlines.
• Research and Innovation: Stay updated with the latest CAD technologies and industry trends to enhance design capabilities and propose innovative solutions.
• Adaptability: Ability to handle multiple projects and adapt to changing project requirements.
• Other Duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Must be 21 years of age or older.
• Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Must have experience with Autodesk AutoCAD and/or Vectorworks.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and delegate them when appropriate.
• Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.
