Extended Care Paramedic – Aged care

About the role:
As an Extended Care Paramedic (ECP), you will play a vital role in supporting the healthcare system by providing high-quality care in aged care settings. Using a broad range of clinical skills, you will manage non-urgent and complex cases, helping reduce pressure on frontline emergency services so they can focus on critical emergencies. This role will involve and not limited to:
· IDC catheter insertion and management
· Chronic disease flare-ups
· Wound care and soft tissue injuries
· Supporting people who experience changes in behaviour, mood, or thinking.
· Palliative and End of Life Care
· Clinical Assessments
About you:
· Strong clinical knowledge and proven experience as an ECP
· Aged Care experience ideal
· Strong communication skills both written and verbal
· Confidence to work independently and in a team environment
· Willingness to work night shifts on a rotating roster including weekends
· Maintaining accurate and timely documentation
· Experience as a sole responder
Mandatory compliance:
· 3 x Covid vaccinations and annual influenza vaccination
· Category A immunisations (MMR, Chicken Pox, Hep B, TB, Whooping Cough, dTpa)
· Mask Fit Certificate
· Bachelor of Paramedicine and valid AHPRA registration
· Full Australian work rights
· Australian driving Licence with a safe driving record
· Ability to obtain National Police check and WWCC (NDIS check may be required)
