About the Position
The NSPIRE Technician is responsible for ensuring all properties within our portfolio comply with the latest NSPIRE (National Standards for the Physical Inspection of Real Estate) regulations set by HUD. This role requires extensive travel across the portfolio, overseeing inspections, managing team performance, and ensuring that all properties meet or exceed compliance standards. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in property management, facilities maintenance, leadership experience, and deep knowledge of HUD regulations.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with a team of NSPIRE Technicians across the country, fostering communication, coordination, and consistent adherence to standards.
- Oversight & Inspections: Oversee and participate in property inspections to verify compliance with NSPIRE standards, and review and validate inspection reports prepared by the team.
- Quality Control: Ensure the accuracy, thoroughness, and consistency of all inspection reports. Provide feedback and guidance to improve work quality and adherence to protocols.
- Compliance Management: Partner with the NSPIRE Team Lead and VP of Facilities to develop and implement strategies ensuring all properties comply with NSPIRE standards. Address and resolve compliance issues identified during inspections.
- Reporting: Prepare and present detailed reports on inspection outcomes, team performance, and overall compliance status to senior management, including the Director of Compliance.
- Training & Development: Provide ongoing training for NSPIRE Technicians on inspection protocols, NSPIRE standards, and best practices. Identify opportunities for professional growth within the team.
- Travel Coordination: Plan and coordinate travel schedules for the inspection team to ensure timely and organized coverage of all properties in the portfolio.
- Regulatory Monitoring: Stay informed on changes to NSPIRE regulations and industry best practices, updating inspection procedures, protocols, and training programs as necessary.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with strong attention to detail.

- Plumbing: Experience with repair, installation, and maintenance of plumbing systems.
- Electrical: Knowledge of electrical systems, including troubleshooting, repair, and installation.
- Carpentry: Skills in general carpentry, including framing, drywall repair, and finish work.
- Painting: Proficiency in painting techniques, surface preparation, Sheetrock repair, and finishing.
- HVAC: Basic understanding of heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems, with the ability to perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting.
- General Maintenance: Experience in routine building maintenance, including exterior repairs, landscaping, and upkeep of property grounds.
Qualification: Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years in property management, inspection, or a related field, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or leadership role.
- Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of NSPIRE standards, HUD regulations, and property management best practices.
