This senior HR leadership role is responsible for shaping and executing the overall people strategy across a complex, mission-driven organization. You will act as a key advisor to executive leadership, driving long-term talent management, organizational effectiveness, and culture development initiatives. The role combines strategic oversight with hands-on leadership of HR operations, ensuring alignment between business goals and workforce capabilities. You will play a critical part in building a compliant, scalable, and people-centered HR framework. This includes guiding HR teams, strengthening leadership practices, and supporting organizational growth through transformation and M&A activities. The environment is fast-paced, purpose-driven, and deeply focused on improving outcomes for both employees and the populations served.
- Partner with executive leadership to define and execute long-term organizational goals, aligning HR strategy with overall business and mission objectives.
- Lead the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of HR policies, ensuring compliance with employment laws, benefits regulations, and industry standards.
- Oversee HR operations and provide guidance to HR leadership teams on compensation, benefits, employee relations, and workforce planning matters.
- Drive strategic talent management initiatives, including organizational design, leadership development, succession planning, and performance management frameworks.
- Support M&A activities, including due diligence, integration planning, and workforce alignment across acquired entities.
- Strengthen organizational culture by reinforcing values, leadership behaviors, and employee engagement practices across the enterprise.
- Monitor regulatory changes and ensure proactive adaptation of HR practices, systems, and policies.
- Represent HR at internal and external events, contributing to thought leadership and professional development initiatives.
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field required; Master’s degree or Juris Doctor strongly preferred.
- 10+ years of progressive HR leadership experience, including senior-level responsibility for HR strategy, talent management, and organizational development.
- Strong knowledge of employment law, compliance requirements, benefits administration, and HR best practices.
- Proven experience leading HR teams and influencing executive stakeholders in complex, multi-site organizations.
- Demonstrated success in strategic workforce planning, change management, and organizational transformation.
- Experience supporting M&A processes, including integration and due diligence activities.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and conflict resolution skills with executive presence.
- Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving and decision-making capabilities.
- Familiarity with HRIS platforms and advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office tools.
- SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP certification is strongly preferred.
