About This Position

Job Summary

Wichita Tribal Enterprises, a Quivera Enterprises subsidiary, is seeking a Knowledge Management Specialist. This role is responsible for developing, maintaining, and optimizing knowledge management (KM) processes, systems, and repositories that support software quality, user support, and training operations for the Resource Patient Management System (RPMS).

The Knowledge Management Specialist will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including user support, QA/QC, and project teams, to capture, structure, and disseminate critical knowledge assets. This position plays a key role in ensuring accurate, accessible, and compliant knowledge resources that enhance system usability, improve issue resolution, and support continuous process improvement.

Job Duties and Responsibilities
  • Develop, implement, and maintain Knowledge Management (KM) strategies, processes, and governance frameworks
  • Create, edit, and manage knowledge base articles, technical documentation, and internal procedures
  • Collaborate with subject matter experts (SMEs), user support teams, and project stakeholders to capture institutional knowledge
  • Identify gaps in existing knowledge repositories and lead efforts to develop new content
  • Ensure knowledge artifacts are structured, categorized, and easily accessible to stakeholders and end users
  • Maintain centralized knowledge repositories in compliance with contract requirements
  • Conduct periodic reviews and updates of knowledge base content to ensure accuracy, relevance, and timeliness
  • Ensure all knowledge artifacts meet Section 508 compliance and applicable federal standards
  • Support user support operations by enabling efficient issue resolution through well-documented knowledge resources
  • Facilitate knowledge sharing across teams to improve collaboration and operational efficiency
  • Establish and enforce KM policies, standards, and best practices
  • Analyze business processes and recommend improvements to enhance knowledge capture and reuse
  • Support reporting requirements by tracking KM metrics, usage, and effectiveness
  • Assist in change management efforts to promote adoption of KM tools and practices
Required Qualifications
  • U.S. Citizenship is required
  • Must have the ability to obtain and maintain the required Government security clearance
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent hands-on experience
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in knowledge management, technical documentation, or a related field
  • Strong understanding of Knowledge Management principles, tools, and methodologies
  • Experience with knowledge base platforms, content management systems, and collaboration tools
  • Excellent technical writing, editing, and documentation skills
  • Ability to translate complex technical information into clear, user-friendly content
  • Strong organizational and information architecture skills
  • Familiarity with IT Service Management (ITSM) processes and frameworks
Preferred Qualifications
  • ITIL v4 Certification
  • Knowledge Management or Content Management certifications
  • Experience supporting federal contracts or healthcare IT environments
  • Experience supporting IT systems, help desk operations, or software development environments
  • Knowledge of Section 508 compliance and accessibility standards
  • Experience developing and maintaining knowledge repositories and KM governance processes
  • Experience collaborating with cross-functional technical teams and stakeholders
Job RequirementsEducation
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience
Certifications
  • ITIL v4 Certification (preferred)
  • Knowledge Management or Content Management certifications (preferred)

Experience
  • 3–7 years of experience in knowledge management or technical documentation
  • Demonstrated experience supporting enterprise IT environments
  • Proven ability to develop, maintain, and optimize knowledge repositories and processes

Physical Demands – IT Office/Technical Role

This role is primarily office-based and requires prolonged computer use, including sitting, typing, and operating standard office equipment. Occasional walking, standing, bending, and reaching may be required to support equipment setup and troubleshooting. The employee must be able to lift up to 15 pounds, with occasional heavier lifting.

The employee must be able to communicate effectively and maintain visual acuity, including close vision, distance vision, color vision, and depth perception. Occasional travel and extended hours may be required to support operational needs and deadlines.

Physical Demands – Construction / Field Role

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee, with or without reasonable accommodation.

This role is primarily performed in field or construction environments and may involve exposure to varying weather conditions. The employee must wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).

Frequent walking, standing, climbing, and working on uneven terrain are required, including the use of ladders and scaffolding. The employee must be able to reach, perform physical tasks, and lift up to 50 pounds.

The employee must be able to communicate effectively in active work environments and maintain required visual acuity. Travel and extended or irregular hours may be necessary to meet project requirements.
