What You’ll Do
We are seeking a Product Designer to own the end-to-end user experience for Aptarro’s denial prevention platform. This role designs complex clinical and operational workflows — including how providers review denial patterns, act on recommendations, and implement prevention rules — and conducts the user research needed to validate and continuously improve those experiences. You will work embedded with Product and Engineering in a fast-moving environment where your designs directly impact provider revenue.
Key Responsibilities
- Design end-to-end product experiences for complex denial prevention workflows — pattern review, rule recommendation, rule enablement, and outcome monitoring
- Create wireframes, user flows, prototypes, and high-fidelity designs that balance usability with clinical and operational complexity
- Plan and conduct user research independently — including interviews, usability testing, and feedback synthesis — to inform and validate design decisions
- Design data visualizations that communicate denial patterns and actionable insights clearly to non-technical users
- Work embedded with Product and Engineering to iteratively deliver and refine solutions
- Translate ambiguous product requirements into user-centered designs with clear rationale
What You Bring
- 3+ years of experience as a Product Designer in B2B SaaS or healthcare environments
- Strong portfoliodemonstratingcomplex workflow design and data visualization — ideally in operational or analytics-driven products
- Demonstrated experience conducting user research independently — not justparticipatingin it
- Ability to move fluidly from concept to high-fidelity prototype
- Strong collaboration skills with engineers and product managers in agile teams
- Comfortable operating with ambiguity and limited design infrastructure
- Willing to work as a 1099 Contractor
Preferred Skills & Attributes
- Experience designing healthcare, RCM, or clinical decision support products
- Familiarity with denial management, claims workflows, or payer operations
- Strong systems thinking — able to design individual screens with the full workflow in mind
- Excellent communication and storytelling skills — can present and defend design decisions clearly
