Lake Worth, Florida 33461We are seeking a skilled and dedicated part time Cardiac Sonographer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing echocardiograms, Doppler/echo, and stress exams on patients, maintaining diagnostic equipment, educating patients on procedures, preparing reports for physician interpretation, and completing accurate encounter forms with proper procedure coding for discharge entry.

Key Responsibilities

• Schedule all stress, echo, and Doppler/echo tests to ensure optimal equipment usage and workflow efficiency.
• Ensure adequate supply levels and readiness of materials for all diagnostic procedures.
• Maintain equipment, ensuring regular preventative maintenance and safe, effective performance.
• Educate patients on procedures to ensure comfort and accurate test results.
• Monitor patients closely during and after procedures, addressing any abnormal occurrences.
• Prepare accurate encounter forms with correct coding for discharge entry.
• Produce clear, precise diagnostic images and reports for physician review and analysis.
• Maintain high accuracy in imaging to support the detection and evaluation of disease.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Must hold one of the following certifications:
  • Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) – ARDMS
  • Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS) – CCI
• Current BLS and CPR certification required.
• 2–5 years of experience in echocardiography required.
• Knowledge of CPT and ICD-10 coding preferred.
• Strong oral, written, and organizational skills with the ability to work collaboratively with staff, physicians, and patients.
• Coding knowledge and education helpful.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to walk, stand, and sit for extended periods.
• Occasional assistance with patient movement required.
• Ability to lift up to 30 pounds and push/pull medical equipment.
• Frequent bending, stooping, and reaching as needed.
• Proficiency in using computers and phones required.
