About This Position

Radiology Technologist

We’re seeking a skilled Radiology Technologist to deliver high-quality diagnostic images that support accurate diagnosis and treatment of disease. In this role, you’ll integrate scientific knowledge with strong technical expertise while providing exceptional, patient-centered care. By applying sound clinical judgment and adhering to best practices in Radiology, you’ll play a vital role in positive patient outcomes. ARRT board certification in a minimum of three imaging disciplines is required for this advanced technologist role.

What We’re Looking For
  • EDUCATION:
    • Required:
      • Certificate from a two-year approved school of radiology, a two-year associate’s degree, or a four-year bachelor’s degree.
    • Preferred:
    • LICENSES AND CERTIFICATIONS:
      • Required:
        • ARRT board certified in Radiology
        • BLS
        • Iowa Permit to Practice
        • ARRT Board Certified in a minimum of two (2) of the following:
          Mammography
          Bone Densitometry
          Computed Tomography (CT)
          Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI)

      • Preferred:
    • TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE:

        • 6 months experience in Radiology
What you'll do. As a Radiology Technologist, you’ll perform a wide range of diagnostic imaging procedures, ensuring highquality images through proper patient positioning and appropriate use of technical factors. You’ll safely and competently operate imaging equipment including general radiography, fluoroscopy, Carm, and portable imaging, with additional modalities such as CT, DEXA, and Mammography as applicable. You’ll utilize Merge PACS and Epic systems to manage imaging workflows, including routing images, editing patient data, and preparing CDs. This role also includes safely administering contrast media, accurately documenting exams, charging for procedures and supplies, and maintaining radiation safety standards using ALARA principles, lead shielding, and dosimetry. You’ll support infection prevention by disinfecting equipment and exam rooms, participate in quality improvement initiatives, manage supply outdates, assist with employee rounding, and collaborate with your team through flexible scheduling, oncall duties, and weekend or holiday rotations as needed.
