In this role, the Warehouse Coordinator will manage material preparation for project installations, oversee receiving and processing procedures, and ensure that all products are correctly packaged for shipment. Additionally, they will assist in delivery planning, vehicle loading, and transportation of materials while maintaining accurate records and adhering to safety and maintenance protocols.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

The Warehouse Coordinator contributes to the growth and success of Custer by achieving the following objectives:

Warehouse Responsibilities

Organize and prepare materials for project installations to ensure efficient and accurate deploymentFollow established warehouse workflows for receiving, processing, and delivering products, including racking, pick ticketing, picking methods, loading trucks, and selecting appropriate equipment. Ensure all products are properly packaged for shippingMaintain and implement effective storage strategies to optimize space utilization and accessibility.Assist in procuring rental trucks as needed to support logistics operationsMaximize warehouse space efficiency while ensuring safe and effective material handlingMaintain high-quality standards in all warehouse operations, ensuring accuracy and consistencyAssist in training subcontract labor in warehouse procedures when necessarySupport inventory tracking processes, ensuring inventory data is accurately maintained within the ERP systemMaintain ongoing communication with all functional departments to facilitate smooth operations and coordinationCollaborate with the Director of Installation & Warehouse to establish and implement continuous improvement initiativesAdhere to and support the company’s recycling programEnsure the warehouse remains organized and clean, maintaining a safe and efficient work environment Delivery Responsibilities

Load the delivery vehicle with scheduled parcels, ensuring accurate and secure placementMaintain accurate records of vehicle mileage, deliveries, and pickupsPerform basic vehicle maintenance as outlined in the service schedule and promptly report any mechanical issues or significant service needs to the supervisorDemonstrate strong organizational and communication skills to ensure smooth and efficient deliveriesUtilize basic computer skills and internet access to manage delivery schedules and documentationPerform other related duties as needed QUALIFICATIONS

Punctual and professional for all scheduled shiftsAbility to lift up to 50 lbs. and perform physically demanding tasksPositive, team-oriented attitude with the ability to work effectively with a diverse workforce, including subcontractorsBasic proficiency in computer use, reading, writing, and math skillsProficiency in safe material handling practices to ensure workplace safety and efficiency.Ability to adapt to various weather conditions while performing job dutiesFamiliarity with navigation tools, including onboard GPS systems, smartphone apps, and web-based or physical mapsCapability to assist in planning and optimizing delivery routes for efficiencyCompetence in maintaining basic logs and records accuratelyStrong ability to work independently while following instructions with reliability and accountability EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE / OTHER REQUIREMENTS

Must have a valid State of Michigan driver’s licenseMust have clean driving record, unless otherwise approved by managementMust obtain a chauffeur’s license, Unless otherwise approved by managementFork Truck license, preferred Or willingness to obtainReliable transportation, requiredMust have or obtain OSHA 10-hour certificationMust pass pre-employment drug screen and physical lift testHigh school diploma or related experience, required3 years of warehouse experience, requiredMust have ability to work night and weekend shifts, as needed
