Cook at Barefoot Bay Recreation District – Barefoot Bay, Florida

The Position:   Cook
Part-time position – approximately 20-25 hours per week
Pay Range is $16.00- $24.80 per hour commensurate with experience.

General Purpose:
Strong Experienced Line Cook to work breakfast, lunch, casual dinner, and special events as needed to meet the culinary needs of these food establishments.
Essential duties include but are not limited to:
Effectively communicate with Department staff to attain customer needs.
Able to work fast paced line as a short order cook.
Able to grill, deep fry and pan fry food.
Able to prepare sandwiches and salads.
Able to plan for and prepare daily specials.
Conduct daily inventory to prepare for the day’s service and future days’ service as necessary.
Clean work areas properly during and at the end of shift
Complete other duties as requested.

Experience/Qualifications:
Safe staff certified within 30 days of start of employment.
Must be well groomed and have good hygiene habits.
Must be able to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Selection Guidelines: Formal application, rating of education and experience; oral interview and reference check. The following pre-employment, job related tests will be required:
Background check
Drug testing required.
Lift test to 50 lbs.
