About This Position
Clemson Heritage Assisted Living, our state-of-the-art assisted living and memory care community in Clemson, SC, is seeking a Resident Care Assistant to join our team and provide exceptional care to our patients. As a RCA, you will be responsible for assisting healthcare providers in administering medication to patients and monitoring their reactions. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in medication administration and a passion for providing quality healthcare.
Responsibilities:
- Administer medications to patients according to prescribed orders and protocols
- Monitor patients for any adverse reactions or side effects from medications
- Document medication administration accurately and timely in electronic medical records systems such as Epic or Cerner
- Collaborate with healthcare team members to ensure proper medication management and patient care
- Assist with phlebotomy procedures as needed
- Provide support and assistance to patients with special needs
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience working in an acute care or medical office setting is preferred
- Familiarity with electronic medical records systems such as Epic or Cerner
- Ability to accurately phlebotomize patients is a plus
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow protocols and procedures
