This role is a senior scientific leadership position focused on translating complex immunology and pharmacology insights into actionable strategies that guide clinical development. You will lead the design and execution of biomarker and translational plans for lead assets, connecting discovery science with clinical application to substantiate therapeutic hypotheses. The position requires close collaboration across preclinical, clinical, and operational teams, as well as with external partners, to ensure rapid, high-quality execution. You will distill complex data into clear, compelling narratives for diverse audiences, from scientists and clinicians to senior leadership and investors. This is a fast-paced, high-impact role where operational agility, scientific rigor, and strategic thinking are equally critical. Success in this position directly contributes to advancing innovative therapies and accelerating the drug development pipeline.

Accountabilities:
  • Lead translational immunology strategy for clinical assets, focusing on biomarker development and translational plans
  • Serve as a scientific bridge between discovery and clinical development teams, integrating mechanistic insights with clinical understanding
  • Build and manage relationships with CROs and external assay vendors to ensure rapid and reliable data turnaround
  • Translate emerging scientific and clinical data into clear, actionable insights for internal and external stakeholders
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams on protocol design, sample collection logistics, and feasibility assessments
  • Contribute to strategic asset decision-making and ensure alignment with program priorities
  • Mentor and lead a team of translational scientists, fostering a collaborative and high-performing culture

Requirements:

  • PhD, PharmD, MD, or equivalent in immunology, pharmacology, translational medicine, or related life sciences discipline
  • 10+ years of translational science experience in biotech or pharmaceutical environments, with strong expertise in immunology and biomarker strategy development
  • Proven ability to translate complex scientific data into clear narratives for diverse audiences, including scientists, clinicians, and investors
  • Experience managing CROs and external assay vendors, with a focus on rapid and high-quality data delivery
  • Leadership experience managing teams of 5 or more in translational or biomarker functions
  • Strategic and operational mindset, able to prioritize evidence generation and guide decision-making across development stages
  • Collaborative, adaptable, and comfortable operating in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
