At our Day Program we offer a variety of activity choices like computers, fine arts, crafts, gardening or fitness to our clients. More importantly, Adelante supports individuals to be out and about in the community learning about and enjoying many outdoor activities, accessing museums and cultural sites, and volunteering.

General Description of Duties:

As a Community Support staff you will get to;

• Assist adults with special needs in training of daily living skills.
• Provide assistance with eating and all aspects of personal care.
• Document individual's progress and make recommendations for program changes.
• Assist with training other personnel as required.
• Participate in the ISP process, team meetings, and time-study process.
• Prepare associated written documentation.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Schedule & Pay:

Job Type: Full-Time, Monday thru Friday 7am - 4pm

Pay From: $15.00 per hour.

• High School Diploma (or equivalent) required with post high school, college preferred.
• Must have the ability to speak English clearly, distinctly and cordially with internal and external customers of Adelante.
• Have the ability to read and write English in order to understand and interpret written procedures.

Other Requirements: Must pass background/fingerprint investigation, pre-employment drug screening and TB test. Must have own reliable transportation, valid NM driver’s license, insurable driving record and proof of current liability insurance. Must have effective verbal communication and writing skills. Must be able to lift 50 lbs. with assistance or independently, repeatedly throughout the day. Must be able to support up to 70-100 lbs. occasionally. Adelante is a drug free workplace.
