Upper School Social Studies Teacher at Indian Rocks Recruiting – Largo, Florida

Indian Rocks Christian School (IRCS) is seeking a dedicated and passionate Christian educator to teach Social Studies at the middle and high school levels. The ideal candidate will have a heart for Christ-centered education and a commitment to teaching from a biblical worldview while inspiring students academically and spiritually.

Key Responsibilities:

• Teach Social Studies courses for middle and high school students, including history, geography, government, and related disciplines, fostering critical thinking and a biblical understanding of historical and societal concepts.
• Develop and implement engaging lesson plans aligned with the school’s curriculum, academic standards, and a biblical worldview.
• Integrate biblical principles into classroom instruction, discussions, and activities to encourage spiritual growth and character development.
• Collaborate with colleagues and administration to support student growth, academic achievement, and spiritual formation.
• Actively participate in school events, professional development, and community activities as part of the IRCS team.

• Bachelor’s degree in Social Studies Education, History or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
• Teaching certification from ACSI or the ability to obtain one
• Experience teaching Social Studies courses to high school students in a classroom setting.
• Strong commitment to Christian values, spiritual discipleship, and the mission of Indian Rocks Christian School.
• Demonstrate a consistent Christian lifestyle as referenced by the Mission, Statement of Faith, and Leadership Guidelines of Indian Rocks.
• Must be willing to become an active member of Indian Rocks Church as defined by regular attendance in worship services, regular attendance/involvement in an Indian Rocks Connection Group or Small Group, and commitment to systematic stewardship and faithful in tithing.
