Senior Business Analyst - Core Gap Closure at Allscripts – Raleigh, North Carolina
About This Position
Location: Remote - US
Position Type: Full time
Requisition ID: JR10237
Description
Lead the Requirements, Data Intelligence, and Agile Delivery that Power Veradigm Core
Managed care organizations, PBMs, health plans, and other payers must balance cost control with achieving the highest possible quality outcomes. Veradigm’s Core product enables payers and providers to work from the same real‑time insights—closing gaps, eliminating inefficiencies, and improving member outcomes at scale.
Core drives impact by delivering:
- Advanced analytics and data processing
- Point‑of‑care alerts with embedded documentation workflows
- Automated chart delivery
- End‑to‑end payer and provider support services
As a senior member of the product team, you will help shape how Core evolves and expands its footprint across the payer landscape.
Role Overview
As a Senior Business Analyst, you’ll serve as both a product requirements leader and an Agile delivery driver. You’ll independently define complex features, guide technical implementation, and act as a key liaison between Product, Engineering, Data, Services, and internal/external stakeholders.
This role is ideal for someone who thrives on solving data‑heavy problems, understands payer/provider workflows, and can take ownership of entire feature lifecycles—from concept to production validation.
You will also act as an Agile facilitator/Scrum Master, ensuring the team delivers consistent, high‑quality releases.
What You Will Own & Deliver
Strategic Requirements Leadership
- Lead the creation of epics, features, and complex user stories, ensuring clear acceptance criteria, data logic, and configuration details.
- Translate ambiguous business needs into structured, scalable requirements that support Core’s alerting, gap closure, and chart delivery workflows.
Advanced Data Analysis & Issue Investigation
- Independently investigate complex data anomalies across large, interconnected datasets (claims, EHR data, risk/quality measures, etc.).
- Diagnose production discrepancies using SQL, pattern analysis, and system knowledge.
- Recommend long‑term data and workflow fixes rather than tactical workarounds.
Agile & Scrum Master Responsibilities
- Serve as a Scrum Master–type leader for the Core development pod.
- Facilitate all Agile ceremonies: stand‑ups, backlog refinement, sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives.
- Manage team throughput, identify dependencies and risks, and proactively remove blockers.
- Ensure the backlog is prioritized, groomed, and aligned with product strategy.
Feature Delivery & Cross‑Functional Alignment
- Own the end‑to‑end lifecycle of assigned features—from discovery through requirements, development, testing, release, and adoption.
- Act as the subject matter expert for Core workflows with Business, Development, QA, and Services.
- Lead cross-team conversations to align on technical impacts, timelines, and production readiness.
Testing & Quality Validation
- Define and execute functional, integration, and regression testing for new product functionality.
- Validate gap and chart delivery outputs with expected business rules.
- Support UAT with internal partners and customer-facing teams.
Documentation, Communication & Knowledge Transfer
- Produce high-quality documentation, including workflow diagrams, data transformation logic, and user guides.
- Deliver clear communication to stakeholders regarding risks, timelines, and release status.
- Contribute to team standards, best practices, and process improvements.
What You Bring
Required Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, IT, Analytics, or a related field.
- 4–7+ years of business analyst, product analyst, or data analyst experience.
- 2–4 years of healthcare industry experience—payer, provider, or health-tech preferred.
- Strong SQL and Excel skills; able to query, validate, and investigate data independently.
- Hands-on experience with business intelligence tools (Power BI, Tableau, Sisense).
- Demonstrated experience writing epics/features/stories and facilitating Agile ceremonies.
- Strong understanding of healthcare data, HIPAA, quality programs, and/or risk adjustment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience acting as a Scrum Master or Agile team facilitator.
- Experience supporting production analytics or data processing pipelines.
- Deep familiarity with payer alerting, care gap closure workflows, or provider-facing quality programs.
- SAFe Agile experience or certification.
Working Arrangements
- <5% travel.
- Standard work week with occasional after-hours support during critical production cycles.
- Remote
