QC Technician - 2nd Shift at AMPACET CORP – Heath, Ohio

The Quality Control Technician is responsible for performing Ampacet’s test methods on finished products and raw materials to determine if the materials are acceptable to customer and internal specifications, while maintaining accurate data collection and test records.

Responsibilities:

• Testing and inspection of finished goods and raw materials.
• Keeping accurate legible records of test data and information related to the quality of the finished product.
• Visual examination of the finished product to insure it meets our quality requirements.
• Making adjustments to the formulation to obtain the proper color and ash.
• Working safely and adhering to all laboratory and plant safety policies.
• Assisting other laboratory personnel with their work, when time permits.
• Performing other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or equivalent, required.
• Ability to demonstrate good math skills.
• Ability to distinguish color.
• Must be able to interact with all departments within the organization.
• Experience in Excel.
• Must be able to successfully pass Ampacet’s math and color test for consideration.
• Must be able to maintain confidentiality with proprietary formulations.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Additional education in Chemistry, Test Methods or other related QC work.
• Minimum 2 years of lab experience.
• Excellent interpersonal skills.
