Sales Operations Specialist is a critical function that enables the sales team to focus on selling by providing the support, processes, and data they need to succeed. By combining strategic thinking and a focus on efficiency, Sales Operations Specialist ensures the smooth functioning of the sales organization and drives sustainable growth.

Sales Operations Specialist Responsibilities:

  • Data Management and Reporting: Collect, analyze, and present sales performance metrics to help sales leadership make informed decisions.
  • Assist sales team in customer shows, trade shows, cuttings.
  • Assist with trade shows and customer meetings prep
  • Attend customer meetings as needed.
  • Travel as needed:
    • Travel when needed to Hereford.

  • Internet Sales:
  • Solely responsible for the set-up of all new SKUs on internet sites. Follow-up and manage SKUs sold
  • Optimize the product page information on ecommerce sites for improved SEO results, including products names, key words, descriptions, label copy, photos, and videos
  • Oversee A+ content and brand store refresh on Amazon
  • Monitor and share competitive info on competitors’ top sellers and pricing
  • Monitor Amazon customer reviews and ratings
  • Familiar with data management
  • Increase sales for each product SKU
  • Manage the E-Commerce pricing updates, returns, and reviews
  • Coordinate with shipping of products to distribution warehouses and customers

  • Customer Collections:
  • Work with accounting to assist salespersons in past due customer collections
  • Identify with sales and accounting customers past due and formulate a plan to collect past due amounts
  • Ensure that no customer is past due in payments

  • Special Projects:
  • As needed and as assigned by VP of Sales, assisting different company departments with special projects. For example, HR with applicant sourcing, scheduling, and ATS audits; Purchasing – negotiating deals or helping to identify new suppliers; QC – assist when needed with product testing and product development.


  • Qualifications

  • Must possess at least a high school diploma and a post-secondary degree is preferred.
  • A background in food, or food ingredients preferred.
  • Must possess excellent skills in math, writing, public relations and communication, both written and oral.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel,).
  • Ability to multi-task in a detailed oriented team environment. Ability to work effectively with all levels of management with emphasis on the sales force and end user.
  • Adherence to health and safety regulations (e.g., use of protective gear).
  • Must be able to communicate orally in a clear, concise, and effective manner with the customers, account representatives, company representatives, management, staff, and the public in face-to-face, one-on-one and group settings.
  • Good knowledge of Web technologies, protocols, and tools, including Content Management Platforms
  • Expertise in Amazon Search Engine Optimization best practices and Vendor Central preferred
  • Good understanding of communications and digital marketing principles
  • Familiar with E-Commerce platforms such as Shopify and WooCommerce
