About the role

  • The Admissions Coordinator serves as the primary point of contact for all prospective and incoming clients. The Admissions Coordinator works closely with the outreach staff and Clinical leadership to assess patients and determine whether NorthSight Recovery services can meet their clinical and social determinate of health needs. The Admissions Coordinator is responsible for coordinating client transportation for intake purposes, obtaining previous treatment records when appropriate, and providing the initial client orientation to NorthSight Recovery.

What you'll do

  • Serving as the organization’s first point of contact for the organization via telephonic and electronic (e.g., email) means of communication.
  • Being readily available to respond to calls outside of regular business hours, if necessary.
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments of individuals with behavioral health concerns, including mental health disorders, substance abuse issues, and co-occurring conditions.
  • Conducting clinical and Transitional Living prescreen assessments, including the evaluation and review of assessment results with Clinical and Medical leadership as necessary.
  • Facilitation of external referrals and the coordination of care, which may include the coordination of medication bridges.
  • Being knowledgeable about program intake processes and available to assist, as needed.
  • Collect and analyze relevant information, including medical history, social background, and current symptoms, to form a comprehensive understanding of each client's needs.
  • Participate in staff meetings, and continuing education opportunities to enhance clinical skills and stay updated on best practices in behavioral health assessment and treatment.
  • Adhere to ethical and professional standards of conduct, including maintaining client confidentiality and respecting cultural and individual differences.
  • Confirm prospective patient benefit information to determine eligibility for services. Communicate information clearly to internal stakeholders.
  • Demonstration of an understanding of and adherence to all company policies and procedure.
  • Other related duties as may be assigned from time to time

Qualifications

  • Strong internal and external customer service skills.
  • Previous clinical admissions experience preferred, along with experience performing assessments on co-occurring population;
  • Arizona Medicaid experience preferred;
  • Ability to identify relevant clinical and medical issues that have a bearing admission criteria and patient care.
  • Excellent organizational skills and an eye for detail
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred, but will consider combination of relevant experience in lieu. Minimum of two years’ experience in behavioral health field. Proficiency in using electronic health record (EHR) systems and other technology tools for documentation and communication.
  • Ability to work within a multidisciplinary team and take direction from the clinical team.
