PURCHASING & MAINTENANCE FACILITIES ASSISTANT at SOUTHEASTERN BANK – DARIEN, Georgia

The Purchasing & Maintenance Facilities Assistant will assist with facilities needs across our offices. This role combines light facilities/handyman tasks with courier responsibilities, supporting our team with efficient, courteous service. Duties include:

• Make courier runs between office locations, ensuring timely and secure delivery of supplies and equipment.
• Perform basic handyman and facilities tasks, including minor repairs, maintenance, and general upkeep.
• Support office operations such as stocking supplies, setting up work spaces, and assisting with other projects as needed.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized environment in shared spaces.
• Work independently to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively. Able to troubleshoot issues.
• Interact with team members in a professional and friendly manner, providing responsive and courteous support.
• Normally works less than 24 hours per week.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• Professionalism; Good communication skills
• Minimum of two years’ previous facilities or similar experience
• Preferred: Ability to perform basic electrical, plumbing, and/or HVAC repairs.
• Strong work ethic with the ability to work independently and efficiently
• Positive attitude and strong customer service orientation
• Flexibility to adapt to changing needs and daily priorities
• General handyman skills and comfort with light maintenance tasks
• Proficient computer skills
• Valid driver’s license

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to lift, carry, and move items up to 30–50 lbs as needed (office supplies, small equipment, boxes, etc.).
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, and perform manual tasks for extended periods.
• Capability to safely climb small ladders or step stools for basic maintenance tasks.
• Ability to work both indoors and outdoors when required (e.g., moving items, maintenance).
