SUMMARY
The Lead Janitor in the Community Contracts Division supports the Custodial / Project Supervisor in overseeing custodial operations at the Federal Building at Fort Shafter. The position involves helping coordinate project workers responsible for cleaning and maintaining the facility and ensuring daily tasks are completed effectively. The Lead Janitor works alongside the Project Supervisor to coordinate staff and maintain facility cleanliness standards. The Lead Janitor focuses on supporting supervision of custodial workers and organizing daily cleaning activities. Overall, the position centers on helping manage custodial operations and ensuring the premises are properly maintained.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following.
- Supervises custodial tasks: Assigns work and checks completed tasks to ensure quality.
- Distributes supplies: Provides workers with necessary cleaning supplies and equipment.
- Addresses employee issues: Resolves problems or refers them to the supervisor.
- Tracks time:Recordsemployees’ work hours andsubmitsthem to the supervisor.
- Reportsequipment repairs: Requests maintenance for cleaning equipment.
- Assistswith duties: Performs custodial work and othertasks asassigned by the supervisor.
