Challenging Projects:

As a Training Specialist III (C5ISR – Sensor) with JCTM you will play a critical role in the development and delivery of training programs supporting C5ISR defense acquisition programs. This position requires experience in training development New Equipment Training (NET) and Systems Approach to Training (SAT)/Instructional Systems Development (ISD) processes with a focus on preparing operational forces to employ and sustain sensor systems across diverse mission environments. This role supports classroom instruction unit training, Train the Trainer activities, and Mobile Training Team engagements for Marine Corps stakeholders and other operational users.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Training Courseware Development: Provide coordination of training courseware analysis design and development for C5ISR programs. Contribute to the development of Unit Training Courses and Train the Trainer Courses focused on operations and maintenance tasks.
  • Training Delivery and Fielding Support: Support the development of classroom instruction for Testing Initial Key Personnel Training (IKPT) and New Equipment Training (NET). Conduct NET/Mobile Training Team (MTT) support to operational forces including I MEF II MEF III MEF MARFORRES and MARFORPAC. Assist in refresher training tailored unit training just in time training and exercise support training.
  • SAT/ISD-Compliant Materials: Assist in the development and maintenance of Systems Approach to Training (SAT) compliant materials lesson plans and associated training products aligned with Program Manpower Personnel and Training Plans (MPTP) and other government guidance.
  • Documentation and Product Support: Review and provide recommended updates to Acquisition Logistics and Integrated Product Support (IPS) documentation including Technical Manuals Quick Reference Guides equipment instructions and Fielding Plans. Contribute to the maintenance of training materials for currently fielded systems within the family of systems.
  • Program and Meeting Support: Participate in Integrated Product Team (IPT) meetings working groups and related program events. Evaluate information formulate observations and recommendations and provide meeting coordination preparation hosting minutes and action item tracking. Prepare responses to program taskers and draft responses for Government review and approval.
  • Analysis and Reporting: Support manpower and training analyses as required. Prepare Trip Reports within five days of return from each mission including class rosters and student critique sheets.

State-of-the-Art Technology:

Expand your expertise by working with advanced military technologies supporting surveillance networking communications and thermal imaging for Marine Corps sensor programs. You will gain exposure to checkpoint systems thermal imagers infrared and image intensifier devices secure tactical communications encryption and security protocols board configuration radios and antennas video surveillance systems network routing GPS-enabled tracking sensor integration data collection and ATAK-enabled operational environments.

New Skills:

Collaborate with a diverse team of technical and functional experts gaining practical experience with advanced tools technologies and strategic-level implementations. In this role you will further develop your capabilities in SAT/ISD-based courseware development defense acquisition support field training execution logistics documentation review and technical instruction for emerging sensor and tactical networking systems.

You Have:

  • Active SECRET Clearance
  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • 10+ years of experience supporting Navy or Marine Corps projects including establishing training needs developing goals and objectives developing training programs conducting New Equipment Training (NET) and applying the Instructional Systems Development (ISD) process.
  • Industry Training Certification (e.g., Certified Professional in Learning and Performance (CPLP), Certified Technical Trainer (CTT+), Master Training Specialist, or equivalent).
  • Possession of, or ability to develop, a strong technical background in military-grade technologies related to surveillance, networking, and thermal imaging in support of Marine Corps sensor programs
  • Experience coordinating training courseware analysis design and development for C5ISR programs.
  • Experience developing or supporting Unit Training Courses Train the Trainer instruction IKPT and NET activities.
  • Familiarity with Systems Approach to Training (SAT) compliant training materials and lesson plans.
  • Ability to support fielded systems training through refresher training tailored unit training just in time training and exercise support.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills including meeting support narrative observations tasker responses and trip reporting.
  • Technical proficiency with Microsoft Office applications including Word PowerPoint Excel and SharePoint and the ability to quickly learn new tools and web-based applications.
  • Professionalism initiative critical thinking problem solving time management and the ability to work effectively in both independent and interdisciplinary team environments.

Nice to Haves:

  • UAS Operator/Sensor Operator experience supporting MAGTF operations including systems such as the RQ-7B Shadow or MQ-9 Reaper.
  • Small Unmanned Aircraft System (SUAS) experience planning integrating and executing tactical drone operations.
  • Robotics Warfare experience with autonomous unmanned surface underwater or aerial vehicles including mission planning.
  • Electronic Warfare experience detecting tracking and identifying ships and aircraft using radar and electronic systems.
  • Formal ISD training or certification such as ADDIE methodology or SAT process.
  • Defense Acquisition University coursework or credentials related to training management and manpower/personnel.
  • Military occupational training credentials or completion of formal DoD or Service-level instructor/trainer certification courses.

Clearance:

Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; SECRET clearance is required.
