SENIOR ARCHITECT / STUDIO LEADER — RETAIL + EARLY EDUCATION at Helt Design – Belmont, North Carolina

HELT Design Architecture & Interiors is seeking a Senior Architect / Studio Leader to guide our retail and early-education practice area. This role is ideal for a seasoned architect who combines technical rigor, client leadership, and an entrepreneurial mindset. You will oversee program delivery across multiple sites, mentor and empower project teams, and partner with firm leadership to shape client strategy, quality standards, and long-term market growth.

ROLE SUMMARY
You are a senior leader ready to own client relationships, guide project delivery, mentor talent, and help shape a focused practice area — retail and early childhood education environments.

WHAT YOU WILL DO
• Serve as primary client partner + studio lead
• Build workplans, staff strategies, and delivery frameworks
• Guide project execution across multiple concurrent sites
• Lead quality control, permitting strategy, and technical excellence
• Mentor PMs, PAs, and Designers; elevate studio standards
• Participate in BD conversations + represent HELT externally
• Lead prototypes + brand-standards implementation with consistency

WHAT YOU BRING
• 8–12+ years experience with demonstrated leadership
• Strength in client service, program delivery, and multi-site coordination
• Deep understanding of building systems, codes, and detailing
• Strong presenter and communicator
• CAD + Revit fluency; ability to guide digital production standards
• Licensed architect preferred
