The Consultant transforms data estimates into a valuable output for clients, incorporating local market, consumer and industry insight to create compelling narratives. This role involves regular proactive client engagement and industry outreach, building and sustaining strong relationships and aligning with commercial priorities, in addition to conducting local secondary research and creating local insight content.
DUTIES & ACCOUNTABILITIES
• Market specialist for the US and Canada, bringing a deep understanding of economies and consumers, in addition to industry insights for the most commercial and research critical industries
• Builds and maintains long-term relationships with client contacts who are both commercial and research critical, serving as the research lead for North America
• Partners with the Client Support team to transform client queries into opportunities, fostering deeper engagement
• Partners with Commercial teams in North America to align on outreach activities and account strategy
• Engages in marketing and PR initiatives, including participation in conferences, contributing to trade publications, and representing the company in Service Tier engagements
• Conducts primary research, data partnerships and industry data validation, to gather industry insights, facilitating high-value exchanges that strengthen mutually beneficial relationships
• Conducts research on decentralized local secondary sources such as news and company releases
• Shares findings from secondary research, primary research and client interactions with Regional research teams, analysing potential impact on large datasets including market sizes, brand shares, and distribution
• Collaborates closely with Regional teams on forecast drivers, local sources, client and primary research inputs to ensure local market knowledge and insights are reflected in our data estimates.
• Provides contextual data checks to the data built in Hubs for North America, ensuring local market relevance, accuracy of interpretation and usability for client facing outputs
• Owns the North America narrative to enhance client understanding and reinforce confidence in our research, through country reports, marketing content and activities
Requirements
• Curiosity with a passion for learning and making a difference combined with flexibility, the ability to embrace diversity and be adaptable to change
• Analytical with strong problem-solving skills, process-oriented and a quick learner
• Excellent communicator with good listening skills and an openness to new ideas
• Team player with a collaborative and transparent approach, capable of working in a global environment
• Proficiency in English (with other languages an advantage), combined with a high level of numeracy and the confidence to engage with trade sources to gain insights
• Strong computer literacy, particularly in MS PowerPoint, Word and Excel, with demonstrable experience of using tools such as Power BI and Tableau

The salary range for this role is $78,000 to $90,000 based on experience and qualifications. Alongside Salary, we offer a competitive benefits package, including health insurance options, 401k, paid time off, hybrid work set up, core hours and other perks to support a positive work environment.
