About This Position
3rd Shift Supervisor
Full-time schedule which includes:
9pm-9am & Every other weekend
Job Details
The 3rd Shift Supervisor provides all agency support.
- Problem solving and response on-site as well as by phone to sites for a variety of situations including but not limited to incidents, potential MUI's, individual issues, staff interactions, and staffing issues
- Processing of UIR's including potential MUI's by ensuring incident reports are written, notifications are made, immediate health and safety issues are addressed, communication and follow up documentation is received by appropriate personnel
- Communicates and coordinates with Administrator On-Call as needed
- Addresses staff deployment needs as they arise from call offs, individual's needs
- Coordinates with managers, staff deployment specialists, others for staffing and coverage issues
- Rounding of base homes and community homes checking in on individuals and staff. Documents rounding for review and monitoring purposes
- Provides training, coaching, and mentoring of staff with increased focus on new staff members
- Provides direct support in homes as needed when all other staffing options have been exhausted
- Transports individuals or staff as needed
- Assists with drills, evacuations, accompanying individuals to hospital, or other emergency situations as needed
- Represents Sunshine internally and externally in a positive and professional manner
- Consistently interprets and implements Sunshine policies and procedures and continually looks for ways to streamline processes
- Consistently interprets and implements rules and regulations in compliance with applicable external standards such as licensure, Medicaid, and Quality Assurance
- Cross train on job positions within Workforce Management department and be supportive when needed to assist as a back-up for scheduling purposes
- Communication with families and guardians as needed
Qualifications
- GED or HS Diploma required
- 1-5 years' experience in the field of Developmental Disabilities
- 1+ years' experience in supervision or management
- Prior Direct Support Professional experience required
- Valid Driver's License, good driving record and auto insurance
- Able to pass criminal background, drug test and physical
