Lehigh University seeks an exceptional Associate Director of Planned Giving to join our dynamic Development and Alumni Relations team. This strategic role offers the opportunity to shape the future of philanthropic giving while working with our most valued donors and distinguished alumni. You'll be at the forefront of cultivating transformational gifts that directly support student scholarships, groundbreaking research, and innovative academic programs.

Position Number: S86440

This position is a Grade: 10 - 40 with an approximate salary range of $66,270-$80,620 and is subject to change based on experience, skills and qualifications.

Key Accountabilities:

• Collaborate with Director, Planned Giving to tailor marketing communications for reunion prospects.
• Demonstrate familiarity with planned giving vehicles and prepare proposals, including charitable gift annuity (CGA) illustrations.
• Partner with the Reunion Fund Director to integrate planned giving messaging into reunion materials.
• Work closely with reunion chairs to set priorities and advance outreach efforts.
• Conduct in-person and virtual visits to cultivate and solicit planned gifts.
• Oversee membership welcome activities and maintain accurate membership records.
• Develop and implement strategies to grow society membership by cultivating prospective planned giving donors.
• Collaborate with advancement colleagues to integrate society recognition into donor relations and campaign efforts.
• Ensure recognition activities reflect organizational values and highlight the impact of planned giving.
• Collaborate with planned giving team and other gift officers to ensure assigned stewardship individuals receive appropriate outreach.
• Maintain portfolio of assigned stewardship prospects for personal outreach including cultivation and solicitation activities.
• Develop survey and collateral materials to be sent to current and potential Tower Society members.
• Coordinate with Information Systems to generate an accurate survey template.
• Work with Coordinator, Planned Giving to make adjustment to CRM records as needed.
• Generate monthly reporting on survey outcomes for Executive Director and AVP.
• Work with outside vendor, Planned Giving team and MarComm team to deliver marketing messages in a timely and effective manner. Plan, schedule and track production materials.
• Support all functions of the Tower Society Breakfast.
• Work with Director to execute educational webinar series as part of member benefit offerings.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Liberal Arts, Communication, Marketing or related field; Master's Degree preferred
• Five to eight years of related work experience
• Superior interpersonal communication and relationship-building abilities
• Strategic thinking and creative problem-solving capabilities
• Detail-oriented project management expertise
