As a Unit Coordinator on our Behavioral Health team, you will play a vital role in supporting daily operations and ensuring seamless communication between patients, families, and clinical staff. In this role, you will provide essential administrative and coordination support by:

Serving as the primary point of contact for the unit, interacting with physicians, staff, patients, and families

Managing phone calls, messages, and inquiries with professionalism and efficiency

Supporting daily unit operations, including scheduling, documentation, and coordination tasks

Performing accurate data entry and maintaining organized records
-
Assisting clinical staff with administrative needs to support patient care delivery

Ensuring clear and timely communication across the interdisciplinary team

Maintaining patient confidentiality and adhering to all hospital policies and procedures
You will report to the Director of Behavioral Health Nursing or their designee.
What You Bring Education-
High School diploma preferred

Previous secretarial or administrative experience required

Demonstrated computer and word processing skills required

CPI (Crisis Prevention Intervention) certification required within 30 days of hire

Strong interpersonal and customer service skills

Professional telephone etiquette

Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities

Accurate data entry and attention to detail

Proficiency with computer systems and office software

Ability to maintain strict confidentiality

Strong written and verbal communication skills in English
