About This Position
Position Description:
Support the Tech Team by applying strong product and project management skills to drive the development and optimization of Milestone’s proprietary applications, including Pathway. This role plays a key part in enhancing internal efficiency, increasing reliability, and improving user experience across integrated systems. The Product Manager contributes to Milestone’s mission of delivering principled, client centered legal solutions with empathy and precision by identifying opportunities, aligning stakeholders, and executing strategic product initiatives.
Essential Duties & Key Responsibilities:
- Identify significant short and long-term opportunities for Pathway, driving the product vision, strategies and roadmaps to meet the need of the overall organizational goals.
- Generate buy-in and drive consensus across the organization. Bring clarity and structure to all projects. Consistently demonstrate initiative and execution with limited oversight.
- Plan, initiate, and manage projects for Pathway and adjacent applications and processes. This includes roadmap and timeline definition, feature epic management, story-writing, and leading regular Scrum processes.
- Drive product development with a team of engineers and designers, internal stakeholders across multiple departments, external banking custodians, and product partners while maintaining team health.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to drive Pathway’s vision, define requirements, coordinate resources from other groups (treasury, legal, etc.), develop roadmaps, and guide the team through key milestones.
- Define and analyze metrics that inform the success of Pathway. Identify and track key performance metrics through the use of tools like Google Analytics. Drive decision-making through user insights and quantitative analysis.
- Maximize efficiency in a constantly evolving environment where the process is fluid and creative solutions are the norm.
- Conduct user experience research to identify critical features sets, gaps, and improvements. Engage directly with user groups to understand user activity on Pathway, identify missing features and pain-points, and overall identify UI/UX.
- Recommend prioritization and track progress of product enhancements. Drive consensus across key stakeholder groups for prioritization of specific features/updates, and gain approval from key stakeholders. Track and testing features to ensure they provide desired user experience improvements. Coordinate with cross-functional teams to identify technical requirements and ensure project deliverables meet business needs
Requirements & Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field
- 5+ years in product management and/or product design in financial services or related field
- 5+ years of experience working collaboratively with engineering, design and other cross functional teams
- Experience navigating through the full product life cycle, integrating feedback into product requirements, driving prioritization, and pre/post-launch execution
- Deep analytical, prioritization and problem-solving skills
- Experience presenting to senior executive audiences
- An entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to succeed in a fast-paced environment
- Exceptional interpersonal communication, relationship management and organizational skills
- Able to understand technical details and translate them to non-technical audience and vice versa
- Motivating team to do high-quality work while maintaining positive relationships
- Proactively identifying risks or problems, and putting plans in place to fix them
- Ability to effectively prioritize, organize, and juggle multiple tasks/projects/deadlines simultaneously
