About This Position

Position Summary
The Maintenance Coordinator is responsible for ensuring that the school facilities are safe, clean, functional, and well maintained for students, staff, and visitors. This role includes performing preventive maintenance, completing basic repairs, and supervising external vendors when specialized repairs are required.
Key Responsibilities
  • Perform regular preventive maintenance of school facilities, including classrooms, offices, restrooms, common areas, and outdoor spaces.
  • Identify, report, and address maintenance needs in a timely manner.
  • Carry out basic repairs related to plumbing, electrical systems, painting, carpentry, and general maintenance.
  • Coordinate and supervise external vendors and contractors for repairs or services that cannot be completed internally.
  • Ensure school facilities comply with basic safety, health, and cleanliness standards.
  • Maintain records of maintenance activities and report issues or completed work to school administration.
  • Assist in preparing facilities for school events and special activities.
  • Collaborate with administrative staff to prioritize maintenance needs within the available budget.
Qualifications and Skills
  • Respectful and professional attitude.
  • Previous experience in building or facilities maintenance.
  • Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical work, carpentry, and general maintenance.
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
  • Strong communication skills to coordinate with external vendors.
