Position Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented Administrative Data Analyst to support our Medical Insurance Collections Department. This role will focus on tracking production metrics, analyzing KPIs, and providing actionable insights to the Collections Manager. The ideal candidate will be highly skilled in Microsoft Excel, have experience with Brightree (preferred), and possess strong analytical and reporting capabilities to help optimize collections performance and identify payment trends among payors.
Key Responsibilities
- Data Tracking & Reporting: Monitor daily, weekly, and monthly production for the collections team, including individual and departmental KPIs.
- Analysis: Identify and report trends in payor behavior, payment patterns, and outstanding claims.
- Brightree Utilization: Use Brightree (preferred) or other billing software to extract data, run reports, and analyze claim status.
- Report Creation: Prepare and distribute clear, accurate, and actionable reports for management review.
- Performance Insights: Collaborate with the Collections Manager to develop strategies based on data analysis to improve efficiency and recovery rates.
- Quality Assurance: Ensure data integrity and accuracy in all reports and tracking systems.
- Process Improvement: Recommend and assist in implementing improvements to reporting methods, data tracking, and workflow optimization.
Experience:
- 2+ years of experience in medical billing, collections, or administrative data analysis.
- Brightree experience strongly preferred.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, complex formulas, charts, macros)
Skills:
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Preferred Competencies
- Understanding of medical insurance billing and collections processes.
- Familiarity with healthcare payors and reimbursement methods.
- Experience working in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
Employment Type: Full-Time Onsite
Salary Range: $21-25/hr
