About This Position
Piedmont Crossing, a vibrant continuing care retirement community dedicated to enriching the lives of our residents, is seeking a dynamic and passionate Director of Dining Services to lead our culinary team. Piedmont Crossing is a premier retirement community located in the picturesque Davidson County, North Carolina. We offer a blend of small-town charm and access to the amenities of nearby cities like Greensboro, High Point, and Winston-Salem.
Cook
The Cook assists in preparation of foods for residents and personnel; participates in supervision and instruction of Food Service Aides on their shifts; maintains high standards of sanitation and food handling in their work area.
Minimal Education:
High school diploma or G.E.D. required.
Minimal Experience:
1. Six months food preparation experience in a hospital, institutional or restaurant preferred.
2. Experience in long term care or health care is preferred.
Other Qualifications:
1. Certification as a ServSafe Food Protection Manager preferred.
2. Ability to read and follow recipes, ability to write, add and subtract.
3. Must have good organization skills and be creative.
4. Must be able to follow oral and written instructions and accept responsibility for the accuracy and quality of work performed.
