Wage Range: $34.57 - $55.32 per hour
Posted wage ranges represent the entire range from minimum to maximum. For jobs with more than one level, the posted range reflects the minimum of the lowest level and the maximum of the highest level. Some positions also offer additional premiums based on shift, certifications or degrees. Interprets and applies the protocol; conducts interviews, administers tests and records observations; coordinates the management of study data; monitors data to maintain quality control; summarizes study results and prepares reports.
Primary Duties:

Coordinates, schedules and monitors research activities and subject participation. Interprets and applies the protocol; conducts interviews, administers tests and records observations; coordinates the management of study data; monitors data to maintain quality control; summarizes study results and prepares reports.
Primary Duties:
1.Performs all the duties of Research Coordinator I.
2.Responsible for completing site questionnaires from research sponsors; facilitates Site Qualification Visits, Site Monitoring Visits and Site Initiation Visits.
3.Recruits, interviews and screens potential subjects and determines eligibility according to established criteria to ensure the highest degree of patient care and service delivery.
4.Establish rapport with research team to collaborate and provide cross coverage across single or multiple specialties.
5.As needed, effectively delegate tasks to Research Coordinator I, Research Regulatory Specialist or Research Assistant, following up to ensure task completion.
6.Fulfills all patient care requirements as they relate to research trials: appointment scheduling, records review, study drug accountability and coordination; performs vital signs; subject health review as related to protocol; telephone triage/screening; ensuring protocol compliance, patient safety, and adherence to HIPPA privacy. May perform phlebotomy if needed. Ensures subject information is accurately and thoroughly documented in subject chart and source documents.
7.Maintains current, accurate documentation including subject information, significant lab abnormalities, Adverse Events (AES), and Case Report Forms (CRFs). Ensures that principal investigator has reviewed and signed all subject-specific paperwork.
8.Completes and submits documents for Institutional Review Board (IRB) review under general supervision. Completes and submits appropriate IRB documents and receives approval prior to enrolling subjects; correspondence with IRB on safety reporting and study modifications, closure to accrual reports, and annual continuing reviews; maintains regulatory folders; submits closure reports to IRB when study has completed. Ensures that study documentation is accounted for, organized, and archived.
9.As needed, and under direction from Research Leadership, budgets for clinical research studies.
10.As needed, participate in peer auditing of research folders to ensure study compliance across entire Research Program.
11.Assists in establishing and maintaining contact with community agencies, health care providers and/or study sponsors; refers participants to community service agencies as appropriate.
12.Maintains adherence to research protocols and verifies accuracy of research study data.
13.Coordinates protocol-specific treatment with medical staff and ancillary departments.
14.Interprets and records subject behaviors using observation codes, rating scales, questionnaires or standardized assessments.
15.Responsible for and maintains the research data/reports. Ensures appropriate revenue tracking for research visits in patient tracker; and appropriate billing of study related visits as directed. Certifies patient visit activities which drive sponsor and patient billing.
16.Performs other duties as assigned.

REQUIREDfor the position:
Bachelors degree in Science, Healthcare or related field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
2 years of experience as a Research Coordinator
Medical Assistant-Phlebotomy certification within one year of date of hire
Medical Assistant-Registered certification within 6 months of date of hire
Current Healthcare Provider BLS American Heart Association by start date
DESIREDfor the position:
4 years of experience as a Research Coordinator or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience
ACRP or SoCRA certification
