Job Description
A skilled Modular Building Roofing & Sheeting Specialist with hands-on experience working in a fast‑paced production line environment. Responsible for installing, securing, and finishing roofing and external sheeting systems on modular building units to meet strict quality, safety, and manufacturing standards. Adept at reading technical drawings, operating power tools, and coordinating with production teams to ensure each module is completed efficiently and accurately. Known for strong attention to detail, consistent workmanship, and the ability to maintain high output while upholding safety protocols. Contributes to smooth production flow by identifying issues early, supporting continuous improvement efforts, and ensuring all roofing and sheeting installations meet durability and weatherproofing requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Sheathing Installation: Accurately measure, cut, and install roof and wall sheathing according to shop drawings and verbal instructions.
- Structural Prep: Inspect and prepare surfaces for roofing and siding; ensure rafters and studs are level and secure before applying sheathing.
- Material Application: Install Insulation, underlayment, flashing, and roofing materials to ensure a waterproof seal per shop drawings.
- Carpentry Integration: Perform essential carpentry tasks related to roofing using pneumatic fired and manual fasteners, hammer, circular saw, panels saw, tape measure, etc..
- Safety Compliance: Adhere to all OSHA and site-specific safety regulations, including the proper use of fall protection equipment, ladders, and scaffolding.
- Quality Control: Conduct final inspections of sheathing and roofing layers to identify and correct any gaps, uneven surfaces, or potential leak points.
Required Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum of two years of professional experience in roofing and carpentry.
- Technical Proficiency: Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings; skilled in using power tools and hand tools.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs., work at heights, and ability to bend, stoop, kneel, go up and down stairs and ladders repetitively
- Attention to Detail: Precision in measuring and cutting to minimize material waste, rework, and ensure compliance to work instructions and shop drawings.
- Record Keeping: Keep track of hours worked on specific tasks and projects via digital and manual methods.
- Expectations & Metrics: Meet production volume goals including modules per day and other key metrics as communicated by management.

- Reporting Relationships:
- Direct: Roofing & Sheeting Specialist -> Department Lead -> Supervisor -> General Supervisor -> Director of MFD
- In Direct: Safety Manager, Quality Manager

- The Pay Range for this position is $21.41 - $27.41 per hour based on experience and qualifications. We also offer the following benefits:

- Hours of Operations: M-F 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM with some overtime required extending the day to 4:30 PM
