About This Position
Asia Marketing Specialist
Overview
The Asia Marketing Specialist plays a key role in supporting regional growth through comprehensive marketing execution, including trade show management, digital marketing, social media, printed collateral, and some market intelligence gathering. This role collaborates closely with the Asia sales organization, HQ Marketing, and cross regional teams.
Due to time zone alignment, the Asia Marketing Specialist also receives operational and tactical support from the EMEIA Marketing Office, ensuring seamless coordination across global marketing workflows.
Key Responsibilities
Trade Shows & Events
• Plan, organize, and execute all aspects of trade show participation in the Asia region—including booth registration, design coordination, service orders, logistics, vendor management, and onsite booth setup when required.
• Manage shipping, packing, and return logistics for all booth materials, displays, and promotional items.
• Lead post show processes including lead capture, data organization, and reporting.
• Gather and report industry trends, competitor insights, technology developments, and customer feedback from events, conferences, and exhibitions.
Marketing Communications & Collateral Production
• Coordinate with HQ Marketing and regional sales teams to develop, update, and produce printed marketing materials such as brochures, flyers, catalogs, signage, technical sheets, and promotional items.
• Support corporate advertising efforts by assisting with ad planning, ad placement, artwork submissions, and archiving published ads.
• Ensure regional sales teams and Asia representatives are fully equipped with updated marketing materials, reviewing all collateral at least every 24 months for accuracy and relevance.
Digital Marketing & Social Media (Expanded for WeChat)
• Lead regional digital marketing initiatives with a strong emphasis on WeChat as the primary Asia focused platform.
• Manage the company’s WeChat Official Account, including content planning, localization, design coordination, posting, and performance tracking.
• Analyze growth, engagement, and performance metrics; deliver monthly reports and recommendations for improvement.
• Manage and optimize additional Asia focused digital channels such as Weibo, Bilibili, Zhihu, and LinkedIn China (as applicable).
• Coordinate Lesker U sessions in collaboration with the Education Team, including scheduling, content alignment, promotional support, and ensuring regionally relevant topics reach the Asia audience.
• Ensure digital messaging aligns with global brand guidelines while being culturally and linguistically adapted for local markets.
• Partner with HQ Digital Team on SEO/SEM strategies for Asia.
• Monitor competitive digital activity and regional social media trends.
Sales & Business Support
• Assist the Asia General Manager with the creation of sales reports, marketing dashboards, and business review presentations.
• Provide regular updates on ongoing projects, campaigns, and new marketing opportunities.
• Work with Asia Sales, EMEIA Marketing, and HQ teams to streamline project handoffs and ensure cohesive execution.
Cross Regional Collaboration
• Collaborate daily with EMEIA Marketing, leveraging overlapping work hours for:
o Proofing support
o Graphic requests
o Project updates
o Web and digital support
o Shared vendor communication
• Maintain consistent communication between HQ, EMEIA, and Asia teams to support global brand alignment.
Other Duties
• Additional marketing or administrative responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications
Required
• Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Advertising, Communications, or a related field.
• 1–2 years of marketing experience.
• Strong English language skills (listening, reading, writing).
• Highly organized with exceptional attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Willingness to travel: Domestic 90% / International 10%.
• Ability to collaborate with global teams across time zones.
Preferred
• 1–2 years trade show management experience.
• 1–2 years print production or vendor coordination experience.
• 3+ years of broader marketing experience.
• Experience with social media management, especially WeChat Official Accounts.
• Experience coordinating cross functional work (marketing, logistics, sales, event organizers).
• Sales or business development exposure.
