Physician & Chief Medical Officer (50% Clinical / 50% Leadership)
Location: Christiansburg, VA
Salary: $240,000 – $310,000 + Generous Benefits

VCHA is supporting its community health centers in Christiansburg, Va in their mission to provide high-quality, accessible care to all. We’re partnering with a center seeking a Chief Medical Officer who will lead clinical strategy while continuing to serve patients 50% of the time.

This is a unique opportunity for a physician who wants to stay connected to patient care while helping shape the future of community health in a meaningful way.

What You’ll Do:
Provide direct patient care as a practicing family physician (50%)
Lead and support providers, nursing leadership, and clinical teams
Drive quality improvement, clinical outcomes, and performance measures
Oversee clinical operations, policies, and compliance standards
Partner with executive leadership on strategy, growth, and provider recruitment
Foster a collaborative, mission-driven culture focused on serving the community

What We’re Looking For:
MD or DO with an active Virginia medical license
Board certification (Family Medicine preferred)
5+ years of leadership experience in outpatient or primary care settings
Passion for serving rural and underserved communities
Strong communicator and team builder
