Position Overview
We are looking for an experienced Cybersecurity & Systems Administrator to safeguard and support the technological infrastructure that powers our manufacturing operations. With a mix of production, OT, and corporate systems, this role is essential to maintaining secure, reliable, and compliant IT environments. This role will be responsible for maintaining a secure IT environment, ensuring regulatory compliance (e.g., ITAR, CMMC), and supporting day-to-day system administration.
The ideal candidate brings 7+ years of hands‑on experience in system administration and cybersecurity, thrives in a fast‑paced production setting, and understands the unique challenges of protecting both IT and OT networks in a manufacturing facility.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Oversee the administration, maintenance, and security of Windows servers, Active Directory, Group Policy, and enterprise applications.
- Manage identity and access controls (Azure AD, MFA, Conditional Access).
- Implement and manage cybersecurity controls, including endpoint protection, patch management, vulnerability scanning, and SIEM monitoring.
- Maintain and secure OT/industrial systems, including PLCs, HMIs, SCADA components, and segmented networks.
- Lead incident response activities, including investigation, containment, remediation, and documentation (basic SOC function).
- Manage user accounts, permissions, and identity access management across systems.
- Define and enforce information security policies and standards.
- Conduct vulnerability management and security assessments.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements (e.g., ITAR, CMMC, internal audit).
- Support secure remote access and collaboration tools.
- Collaborate with MSP on security awareness training and phishing simulation campaigns.
- Coordinate with MSP vendors for advanced security monitoring and response
- Support backup and disaster recovery strategies, including testing and documentation.
- Collaborate with network engineers, operations, and production teams to ensure system uptime and secure connectivity.
- Maintain detailed documentation of systems, configurations, and security procedures.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 7+ years of experience in system administration and/or cybersecurity roles.
- Strong expertise with Windows Server, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Group Policy, and virtualization platforms.
- Experience with cybersecurity tools such as EDR, SIEM, MFA, CrowdStrike, Defender, Netskope, vulnerability scanners, and firewalls.
- Understanding of manufacturing environments, OT networks, and industrial control systems.
- Knowledge of cybersecurity best practices, including network segmentation, least privilege, patching, and threat mitigation.
- Experience managing backups, disaster recovery, and business continuity processes.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and documentation skills.
- Knowledge of identity and access management (IAM), MFA, and endpoint security.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with GCC High environment or regulated industries.
- Certifications such as Security+, CySA+, CISSP, CEH, Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator, or similar.
- Proficiency with Azure AD, M365 security tools, VMware/Hyper‑V, and cloud‑based security controls.
- Familiarity with NIST CSF, ISO 27001, or other security frameworks.
- Experience supporting ERP systems, MES platforms, or industrial automation technologies.
- Knowledge of ITAR, CMMC, or similar regulatory requirements.
- Experience working with MSP or outsourced security services.
