Job Description
Position Summary
Support Accreditation staff and schools by accurately utilizing the Accreditation platform as directed by ACSI Accreditation Leadership to coordinate accreditation visits and events, review and edit accreditation reports, maintain school information, answer school questions, and build relationships with ACSI schools.
This is a part time remote position working twenty hours per week. Work will be performed from a home office anywhere in the contiguous United States (Central Time Zone preferable).

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Support Accreditation staff and schools through emails, phone calls, and mail correspondence
- Coordinate accreditation visits by collaborating with the accreditation director to schedule visits, communicate with chairs and select team members. Maintain the digital platform throughout the accreditation process
- Maintain working hours that are reasonably aligned with the division served
- Review and correspond with schools regarding annual reports, requesting additional information as needed; provide reports pertaining to states, regional accrediting bodies, the Center for School Improvement, and others, as applicable
- Assist with event preparations for training and divisional commission meetings, including agenda preparation, communication, logistics, and preparing, editing, organizing, and distributing all accreditation team reports and other documents to commissioners for review
- Answer basic questions for schools regarding accreditation and other programs that support accreditation, such as Certification, School-based Professional Development, training resources, and Continuing Education Units
- Maintain ACSI-approved systems of all accredited schools; run queries and reports as needed
- Communicate with partner agencies and state Departments of Education regarding team formation, visit reports, commission results, and requested documentation, as directed by the Divisional Accreditation Director
- Answer and troubleshoot school inquiries, directing schools, when appropriate, to requested information by direct response or another individual or department
- Cultivate positive relationships with schools through contact with prospective accreditation leads
- Attend Accreditation staff meetings
- All other duties as assigned
Compensation and Benefits
Starting Salary Range: $24-26 per hour; based on work experience, education, training, knowledge, skills, and internal and external equity.
Part-time employees working less than 20-29 hours per week may participate in our 403b retirement plan. In addition, ACSI provides vacation, sick leave, paid holidays, employee assistance plan, and discretionary annual bonus.

Required Experience and Education
- High school diploma or higher
- Three to five or more years of experience in an office environment; experience in a school setting preferred
- Verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
- Ability to develop strong relationships with accreditation leaders in each school
- Mastery of computer applications, including the Microsoft Suite, and the ability to learn and utilize other cloud-based programs, and database applications
- Disciplined time management
- Organizational skills for detailed project assignments
- Work at an efficient pace to meet required deadlines
- Work independently without direct supervision present
- Travel to ACSI events such as annual retreats and commission meetings as requested
- Handle multiple tasks simultaneously
- Find resolutions to challenges as they arise
Physical Demands and Work Environment
- Professional remote work environment in which to conduct videoconferences and phone calls
- Ability and willingness to travel up to two times a year for two to three days
- Driver’s License required to be kept current and in effect as a condition of employment
- Employee is regularly required to walk, sit, use hands and fingers, talk, and hear
- Essential duties require the use of computers to process information
- The employee frequently is required to reach with hands and arms
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include the ability to read at close range and distinguish colors and contrasts
- The noise level in the work environment is usually minimal

- Accountable to the agreed upon job description and ACSI’s policies
- Accountable to agreed upon goals and timelines
