Job Description
This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Field Strategist, Forward Deployed Engineer in Finland.
This role sits at the intersection of deep technical engineering, enterprise strategy, and customer impact, focusing on solving complex adoption challenges in large-scale and highly regulated environments. You will work directly with strategic customers to design, deploy, and optimize advanced DevSecOps and AI-enabled platforms in real-world conditions. Acting as both an engineer and a technical advisor, you will translate customer constraints into scalable architecture patterns and reusable solutions. The environment is fast-paced, highly collaborative, and deeply technical, requiring strong systems thinking and the ability to operate across ambiguous, high-stakes enterprise contexts. Your work will directly influence how organizations adopt and scale modern software delivery and AI workflows. This is a high-impact role where customer outcomes and product evolution are tightly connected.
- Lead deep technical discovery with strategic enterprise customers to assess platform readiness, identify constraints, and define high-value adoption paths across DevSecOps and AI workflows
- Design and implement scalable deployment architectures for complex environments, including self-managed, regulated, and constrained infrastructures
- Develop reusable technical assets such as reference architectures, deployment patterns, accelerators, and governance frameworks
- Build and validate prototypes, proofs of concept, and production-ready solutions across CI/CD, security, compliance, and AI-enabled systems
- Collaborate closely with customer stakeholders and internal teams to prioritize initiatives based on business impact, technical feasibility, and long-term scalability
- Contribute to product and engineering improvements by translating field insights into architecture recommendations, design inputs, or upstream code changes when needed
- Support strategic customer engagements and architecture workshops, including travel as required
Requirements:
- 8+ years of experience in software engineering, platform engineering, technical consulting, forward deployed engineering, or customer-facing architecture roles
- Strong software engineering fundamentals with ability to understand and contribute to production systems (experience with Ruby on Rails and/or Go is a plus)
- Deep systems design and architecture expertise, including CI/CD systems, APIs, distributed systems, and operational tradeoffs
- Hands-on experience with GitLab CI/CD, pipeline design, YAML, runners, and APIs
- Strong experience with infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform, Ansible, Helm, or similar
- Familiarity with enterprise deployment challenges including security, compliance, networking, and scalability constraints
- Working knowledge of AI/ML concepts, including LLMs, agentic workflows, and tool orchestration in production contexts
- Strong communication skills with the ability to engage senior technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Proven ability to create reusable technical frameworks, documentation, or assets that scale beyond a single customer engagement
- Comfortable working in ambiguous, fast-paced, and globally distributed environments
Benefits:
- Fully remote work with global flexibility
- Flexible paid time off to support work-life balance
- Equity compensation and employee stock purchase plan
- Annual growth and development budget for learning and professional development
- Comprehensive parental leave policies
- Home office support and equipment provision
- Access to team member resource groups and inclusive community initiatives
- Opportunity to work on high-impact, cutting-edge DevSecOps and AI platform challenges at scale
