About This Position
the scope of practice for Registered Nurses as outlined by the Oregon State Board of Nursing, the application of the nursing process to patient care is required.
This includes patient education and documentation of care in medical records, as well as collaborating with the interdisciplinary team to coordinate overall patient care. ''
Skills and Abilities:
- Proficiency in reading, writing, and effective communication in English.
- Possession of critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to prioritize and adapt to changing patient and unit needs.
- Display of effective teaching skills.
- Capability to respond appropriately to patient crisis or emergency situations.
- Proficiency in computer use, including internet access, word processing, and electronic medical record documentation.
- Consistent and punctual attendance at the assigned job location.
Qualifications:
- Licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse in the state of Oregon.
- Possession of American Heart Association Healthcare Provider Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Possession of American Heart Association Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification, or ability to obtain it within the specified timeframe.
- Recent acute care hospital experience within the past 5 years is preferred.
- Acute care hospital experience in the past two years, or intermediate/progressive care experience is preferred. Benefits:
