About This Position
Family Practice Physician - Indian Health Service
This position is in Santa Fe, NM for the Indian Health Service
Must be Board Certified-Provide comprehensive public health and outpatient medical evaluation and treatment services, operating under a non-personal services agreement.
-Directly participate in patient care, adhering to the medical staff's privileging process.
-Accept work assignments from the Clinical Director as needed.
-Offer direct care to patients across pediatric, geriatric, adolescent, and adult demographics, including those with COVID in urgent care settings.
-Deliver comprehensive therapeutic and preventative health services to COVID positive patients and their families in home or community settings, including emergency medical treatment.
-Assess, diagnose, and plan action to meet patient needs, interpreting x-ray and laboratory test results.
-Engage in all phases of healthcare services, applying medical doctor skills effectively.
-Contribute to community outreach activities.
-Collaborate with other physicians and consultants on medical care decisions.
-Provide emergency lifesaving and support measures.
-Coordinate patient transfers to higher-level care facilities as necessary.
-Ensure thorough and timely documentation in the Electronic Health Record, adhering to HIPAA guidelines.
-Participate in Quality Assurance/Risk Management and peer review activities.
-Understand and apply PPE techniques for infection control.
-Follow Medical Staff Bylaws guidelines.
-Maintain credentialing and privileges at MSU.
Qualification Requirements:Active Medical Doctor license in this state or any other U.S. state throughout the contract.Board CertificationMaintain credentialing and privileges at Santa fe Service Unit.Uphold patient confidentiality.Proof of Medical License required.
Contract Terms:Job Type: Full-time, Contract
Schedule :Schedule: 8 hour shifts, Monday to Friday ( 8 to 4:30 PM)
$150 - $190 a year
