JOB SUMMARY
As a Front Desk Agent at HCW Hospitality, you are the first and last impression for every guest. This role combines traditional front desk service with night audit responsibilities, ensuring smooth daily operations both during the day and overnight. Schedule Requirement: This position includes a combination of Front Desk Agent and Night Auditor responsibilities. The schedule will typically include two overnight Night Audit shifts and two daytime (AM) Front Desk shifts per week, requiring flexibility to work overnight hours.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
As a Front Desk Agent at HCW Hospitality, you’ll be at the heart of our guest experience. In this role, you will:
- Welcome guests with a warm, professional approach and ensure a seamless check-in and check-out experience.
- Provide accurate information about the hotel, amenities, and local attractions while assisting guests with requests and resolving concerns.
- Handle guest reservations, process payments, and maintain accurate guest records within the property management system.
- Balance and reconcile daily financial transactions during overnight shifts as part of the Night Audit process.
- Run nightly audit reports, verify postings, and ensure all financial records are accurate and properly documented.
- Maintain front desk organization, ensuring all operational procedures and service standards are consistently followed.
- Communicate important updates, guest needs, and operational information clearly between shifts to support smooth operations.
- Respond to guest concerns quickly and professionally, ensuring issues are resolved in a way that supports an exceptional guest experience.
- Support the overall safety and security of the hotel during overnight hours.
- Work collaboratively with housekeeping, maintenance, and other departments to ensure guest needs are met.
- Take on additional duties as assigned by management to support the smooth operation of the hotel.
WHAT YOU BRING
We’re looking for someone who is passionate about hospitality and thrives in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. To succeed in this role, you’ll need:
- Previous hospitality or customer service experience preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to stay organized while managing multiple tasks.
- Comfort working both daytime and overnight shifts.
- Strong communication skills and a professional, guest-focused attitude.
- Ability to handle financial transactions accurately and responsibly.
- Basic computer skills and the ability to learn hotel operating systems.
- A dependable work ethic and the ability to work independently during overnight shifts.
